Albert Shed, Manchester
With Stephenson Bell Architects, this project comprised a large extension to this popular bar in Castlefield to include a new restaurant, function room, and beer & wine cellars. The existing building was re-organised to link into the existing kitchen and function room.
Royal George, Knutsford
This is a complex site in the heart of the historic town of Knutsford and involved the conversion of a listed hotel building, much altered and in a poor condition, the demolition of a modern high street hotel, and replacement with retail, offices and apartments.
Further new build shops and apartments line a new street with car parking beneath. The new pedestrian street joins together the two principal shopping streets King Street and Princess Street.
Walsall Parking Hedge
As part of the Alsop master plan for the Walsall Waterfront site, Joule have designed this 200m long, 8 storey linear building housing commercial units and car parking to serve the whole development. Natural ventilation to the car park levels is provided through a fully planted facade.

Vauxhall and Renault Showrooms, Chester
On this flood plane site on the outskirts of Chester, Joule have co-ordinated the river engineering, sustainable drainage, and external works design, as well as producing the structural design of the new and refurbished buildings on the site with Taylor Design Architects.
Williams BMW and Mini, Liverpool
Working with Taylor Design Architects, the project comprised an extension to a Mini showroom and the conversion of an existing industrial building to new office and workshop facilities for BMW.
Smithfield Building SuperStore, Manchester
This small project involved analysing the existing floor structure to determine its suitability for new use as a small convenience store.
Today's Community Church
Alongside ARK Architects, Joule are working on the design of a new multi-use 1000 seat Auditorium for Today's Community Church in Wigan and the refurbishment of existing buildings to provide nursery, office, meeting and café spaces.
